GMP Antibacterial Baical Skullcap Root Extract

Baical Skullcap was among seven ingredients in a combination oral herbal product known as PC-SPES that was used to treat prostate cancer. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) initiated a nationwide recall of all PC-SPES in 2002 because the capsules were found to contain varying amounts of prescription drugs.

Other combination formulas containing baicalin are used in Asian medicine to improve impaired brain function and to treat headaches.

Function:

1. Scutellaria baicalensis root extract baicalin powder can remove oxygen free radicals;

2. Scutellaria baicalensis root extract has antibacterial, diuretic, anti-inflammatory effect;

Application:

1, Baical Skullcap Root Extract is used to treat respiratory infections, hay fever, and fever. It is also used for  gastrointestinal (GI) infections, as well as livers problems including viral hepatitis and jaundice.

2, Baical Skullcap Root Extract for kidney infections, Pelvic inflammation, and sores or swelling. It is also  used for scarlet  fever, headache, irritability, red eyes, flushed face, seizures, hysteria, nervous tension,  and to relieve a bitter taste in the mouth.

3, Baical Skullcap Root Extract is used in combination with Honeysuckle Forsythia to treat upper respiratory tract infections.  In combination with other herbs, Baikal skullcap is used to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), prostate cancer, a lung condition called bronchiolitis,  arthritis and hemorrhoids.

4, Baical Skullcap Root Extract is also sometimes applied to the skin for psoriasis.
